Labuništa Active Youth is organizing a meeting to be held on September 23, 2025 (Tuesday) starting at 21:00, at the Youth Center premises (within the Pensioners Association).

Today, a self-initiated group of citizens began an action to concrete the road near the new settlement in the Krasta neighborhood. The road is about 400 meters long, and in the first phase, about 60 meters have been successfully concreted.

On September 20, the Macedonia Seniors Cup was held in Tetovo with a selective character for the upcoming World Qualification Tournament in Paris. The great success was marked by the young and talented Gresa Mustafai from Karate Club "Arena," who although competing in the U21 category, decided to compete among the seniors and – won first place!

Residents have long pointed out that this area is in poor condition, especially during the winter and rainy periods, when movement is hindered due to damaged parts of the road. Asphalting will enable safer and more comfortable movement for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.

The hunting-ecology-mountaineering association “Strizhak” from Labunishta has recently launched an initiative to install water troughs for livestock at multiple locations in the mountainous area.

Young people from Labunishta recently set a true example of ecological awareness and community spirit. Together, they organized a cleanup action along the banks of the Crn Drim River, collecting waste and restoring the natural shine of this regional gem.

The “Murat Llambushnishti” Primary School received a special certificate of appreciation within the international project “Building New Bridges,” organized by the OSCE. The recognition was presented by the US Ambassador, Angela Aggeler, and the OSCE Ambassador, Kilian Wahl.

The "Adenia" and "Centar" restaurants organized a free meal for all first graders. With this wonderful gesture, the owners and staff showed that generosity and care for the youngest are deeply rooted among the people of Labunishta. The event was filled with smiles, childlike joy, and a warm welcome for all the new students who started their school journey this fall.

With combined efforts, the team of healthcare workers, along with a group of citizens who assisted with machinery and the fire truck from Labuništa, contributed to a cleaner and more orderly environment.

The Presidency of the Union of Education Workers of the Republic of Macedonia held a session on September 10, 2025, during which, based on the provisions of the Statute, the "Educator of the Year" awards for the 2024/25 school year were presented.

Field works related to excavation and surface leveling designated for the extension of Mehmed Ali Pasha Mosque have been completed. This has created conditions to commence the next phase of the project, which foresees expansion and restoration of this significant religious and cultural-historical monument.

Residents of Labunishta alert that on the road to Labunishki Bachila, along the stretch between Mechkin Kamen and Lenishta, around 15 bushes of the poisonous plant black nightshade (Solanum nigrum), known among locals as very dangerous and poisonous, have appeared.

Please keep the main street – from the Center to the Bus Station – free of parked vehicles to enable uninterrupted and safe movement.

Today around 10:30 AM, a fire broke out in a field below the Krasta neighborhood in Labunista. Due to its rapid spread, the flames quickly approached the nearest houses, threatening a larger tragedy

Today, the fishing society “Karp Fish Labunista” organized an action to arrange the access roads and paths to the well-known location Tesnec (Balkanche) – Kopalishté. Within the activities, cleaning and widening of the road were carried out, as well as paving of the path, including the descent from the main Struga – Debar road to Tesnec.

Struga has gained a new cultural enrichment. In the newly built residential complex “Like No Other Struga,” permanent paintings by the renowned artist from Labunishta, Muhammed Kormakoski, will be displayed.

On Wednesday, September 10, work activities will begin for the extension of the Mehmed Ali Pasha Mosque (known as the Upper Mosque) in Labuništa.
