The hunting-ecology-mountaineering association “Strizhak” from Labunishta has recently launched an initiative to install water troughs for livestock at multiple locations in the mountainous area.

The association states that currently there is not a single water trough in the Labunishta pastures and the surrounding mountain area, which poses a major problem during the summer days when animals need refreshing.

The proposed priority locations for construction of the troughs are: • Skala • Labunishta pastures • Tafov spring • Red springs • Nevestin grop • Karaula

"Are we so incapable that we cannot build a few troughs where the animals can quench their thirst from the hot weather?" the association asks, adding that anyone who wants to help with the construction can join and contact them.

With this initiative, “Strizhak” aims to encourage joint action and ensure better conditions for livestock breeding and mountain life in the region.
