We do not want to criticize. We do not want to publish bad things. But when silence becomes an accomplice in destroying our own place, then it is our duty to speak out!

As a media outlet, we always strive to highlight beautiful stories, successes, humanity, and positive examples from Labunishta. We believe that our place deserves to be spoken of positively. However, what is happening today to the environment in Labunishta can no longer be overlooked or tolerated. Labunishta is drowning in garbage!

The streets are dirty, public areas are turning into dumps, and the river, instead of being a natural treasure and a decoration of our place, is becoming a place where irresponsible individuals throw the waste from their households.

And all this happens despite the fact that the communal enterprise regularly and timely collects waste from households.

So, why does the garbage end up in the river? Why are the streets turning into places for throwing waste? Why does someone think that a bag of garbage can be thrown into nature and continue their day calmly, as if they have done nothing wrong?

The problem is not only with the garbage. The problem lies in our conscience, in our culture, and in our sense of responsibility!

WHERE IS OUR FAITH WHEN WE POLLUTE OUR OWN RIVER?

It is especially painful and disappointing when such phenomena occur in a community where the Islamic faith holds such an important place in daily life.

We take pride in the full mosques, our pilgrims and mutawallis, the women who wear the hijab, the children who attend mektebs, and the youth who regularly visit mosques. These are values we should be proud of.

But we must also ask ourselves the hardest question: What is the value of our faith if its principles are not reflected in our behavior outside the mosque?

The Messenger of God Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Cleanliness is half of faith"

How can we talk about cleanliness, morality, and faith while polluting the river that flows with the life of our place? How can we teach children kindness, honesty, and responsibility if by our own example we teach that public space belongs to everyone, but actually to no one?

Islam teaches us cleanliness, responsibility, and respect for everything that surrounds us. Faith is not proven only by words, clothing, or presence in the mosque. It is also proven by our actions, by our attitude towards our neighbor, the community, and the nature entrusted to us for care.

Therefore, it is not enough to just call ourselves believers. We must live according to the values we say we believe in!

TO THE AUTHORITIES: IT IS TIME FOR CONCRETE MEASURES!

We appeal to the responsible institutions, the Municipality of Struga, and all responsible services to take concrete and decisive measures to prevent pollution.

It is necessary to install video surveillance at critical points along the river, in public areas, and at places where waste is most often dumped. Everyone who pollutants the environment irresponsibly must be identified and penalized according to the law.

It is not enough to only clean what someone else dirties. It is not enough for communal services to constantly collect waste while irresponsible individuals pollute the environment again.

Order, control, and responsibility are needed. The rules must apply to everyone, without exception!

TO THE CITIZENS: THE RIVER IS NOT A DUMP, AND THE STREET IS NOT A TRASH BIN!

We appeal to every resident of Labunishta to stop throwing waste into the river, along roads, on the streets, and in all public areas.

If we can keep our own yards clean and tidy, then why don't we show the same care towards the streets we walk every day, the river we live by, and the place where our children grow?

Do we not want our children to grow up in a clean and healthy environment? Do we want to leave them tomorrow a river full of plastic bags, streets full of waste, and nature destroyed by our own irresponsibility?

Labunishta is not just our home. It is also the home of our children, grandchildren, and future generations. We must not destroy what we are obliged to protect!

Cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the communal enterprise. It is not only the responsibility of the Municipality or the Local Community. It is a shared responsibility of all of us.

"IF YOU ARE NOT ASHAMED, DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!"

In a famous hadith, transmitted in Bukhari's collection, the Messenger of God Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"If you are not ashamed, do as you wish!"

This message should make us all stop and reflect on our own actions.

Shouldn't we be ashamed when we throw garbage into the river? Shouldn't it hurt us when we see our own place turning into a dump? Shouldn't it pain us when nature, health, and the reputation of the community suffer because of our irresponsibility?

We do not ask for anything impossible. We ask for basic human culture, responsibility, and respect for the place where we live. We do not want to point fingers at anyone. But we will not remain silent in front of phenomena that harm our entire place.

Let's not allow Labunishta to become synonymous with dirtiness and irresponsibility. Let's preserve our river, our streets, and our nature. Let's show that we are a community that knows how to be proud of its faith but also live according to its principles. Because true love for Labunishta is not proven only with words.
