Labunista is one of the largest and most vibrant villages in the region, with a growing population and many young families. On one occasion, a Labunista resident was asked:

– How many inhabitants does Labunista have?

He answered: “About 10,000.”

– And how many children?

With a smile, he said: “Children? One million!”

This saying may be symbolic, but it reveals the greatest truth about our village – that the true wealth of Labunista is not in the numbers, but in the hearts and smiles of its children. Each birth is a new spark of hope, a new reason for pride, and a new reason to believe in the future.

Almost every year, around 150 children are born in the village. Unfortunately, half of them, along with their families, leave for Western countries in search of a better life and secure jobs. Yet, despite this, this figure clearly proves that Labunista is a village with a future – a future that must be nurtured, supported, and retained here at home.

Currently, the biggest gap in our community is the lack of a kindergarten. This is not just an organizational problem for parents – it is a serious obstacle for the youngest residents of the village. The early years of life are critical for character development, learning, and socialization. If children do not have an environment in which to grow, socialize, and learn, they lose invaluable opportunities that are difficult to regain later.

A kindergarten is not just a building with walls and classrooms – it is the first educational institution, the first temple of knowledge and curiosity. Here children learn their first songs and letters, form friendships that will last a lifetime, and take their first steps towards the world of knowledge. Kindergarten awakens their creativity, builds their confidence, and opens the path to more successful education.

At the same time, kindergarten is also a great support for parents. It means security that their little ones are cared for in a safe and stimulating environment, and families gain more freedom to work, develop, and remain in the village. The absence of such an institution, on the contrary, forces young families to seek solutions elsewhere – in another city or another country.

If we want to keep the youth, if we want to build a stronger future for Labunista, we must give them a reason to stay. And the greatest reason is precisely the children.

Building a kindergarten is an investment that will mean:

• Support and proper development for every child from the earliest age.

• Creating a healthy, warm, and stimulating environment for learning and play.

• Relief for young parents and encouragement for them to stay in the village.

• Strengthening the community by investing in the youngest.

• A secure and bright future for Labunista, built by its own residents.

Every community that invests in its children invests in its survival and progress. Children are our greatest asset, our hope, and our pride.

It is time for Labunista to take that step – because our children deserve the best, and our village deserves its future.
