Tonight, the jubilee 30th Quran evening was held in the Lower Mosque in Labuništa, a traditional religious event that for years gathers a large number of believers and guests.

The event was opened by Nihad Juskoski from Labuništa, a student at the madrasa in Sarajevo, who performed two ilahis. The program moderator was Mr. Medin ef. Suloski, who at the beginning greeted the attending believers and guests.

Mufti of the Struga Muftiate, Adi ef. Murtiši, also addressed the audience, followed by speeches from representatives of the Riyasat of the Islamic Religious Community of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the religious attaché at the Turkish embassy.

Special guests at the event were the religious attaché at the Turkish embassy in the Republic of Macedonia, Mustafa Bodru, and the imam from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ahmed Ibrahim El Kasim.

This was followed by melodic recitations of the Quran by several well-known reciters who uplifted the hearts of the believers: Sheikh Ahmed Ibrahim El Kasim, Mr. Elyesa Asani, hafiz Etem Aliti, hafiz Hasan Gur from Turkey, the youngest reciter hafiz Berkim Veseli, and madrasa student from Labuništa Nihad Juskoski.

The Quran evening in Labuništa represents a long-standing tradition that began in 1996 on the initiative of the then imams, led by Imam Jakub ef. Ćazimoski.

The event has been organized continuously for 30 years and is a recognizable religious gathering traditionally held in Labuništa.

We pray to Allah almighty to allow this event to continue uninterrupted until the Day of Judgment. Amen.
