Last night, a meeting was held in the premises of the Local Community in Labuništa attended by representatives of the LC Labuništa, village carriers, the “NaturaLab” association and JKP “Higijena” from Labuništa.

The meeting was initiated by the carriers themselves, but unfortunately the turnout was minimal.

The main topic was the problem of illegal dumps, which have recently reappeared in several locations, as well as the situation at the former quarries, where a designated place for unloading earth and solid material – rubble – has been established.

In the coming days, illegal dumps along the road to Gorna Krasta, as well as accumulated rubble by the road near the former quarries, will be completely removed.

At critical locations, video surveillance will be put into operation, covering the road to Gorna Krasta, the area near the former quarries, and other locations where illegal dumping might occur.

Important notice regarding the area near the quarries:

Only unloading of earth and solid material – rubble – is allowed there. Dumping bulky and communal waste is strictly prohibited.

For smaller bulky waste, such as furniture, electrical appliances, carpets and similar items, a separate marked place will be designated from which the waste will then be collected by JKP “Higijena” and transported to the landfill in Struga.

Carriers are required to unload their cargo directly into the large openings. Unloading beside the roads leading to them and covering with soil is strictly prohibited.

Additionally, the area near the quarries will be used exclusively for rubble and earth from Labuništa.

Bringing waste from other settlements is forbidden, regardless of whether the carrier is from Labuništa.

Companies conducting large excavations in Labuništa and unloading material at this location will be required upon completion of unloading to level and push the material with an excavator or bulldozer to prevent accumulation and disorder.

The Local Community, JKP “Higijena” and “NaturaLab” urge all carriers, companies and citizens to respect the established rules and contribute to a cleaner and more orderly Labuništa.

Anyone who does not comply with the rules will be recorded through video surveillance and reported to the competent environmental inspection authorities, where appropriate financial penalties will follow.

Also, video footage of violators of this regulation will be publicly shared on social networks and media.
