Лабуништа Tuesday 27.05.2025
Today, immediately after the Fajr prayer, in the spirit of centuries-old tradition, the residents of Labunishta sent off more than 40 of their fellow citizens towards the holiest places of Islam – Mecca and Medina, where they will perform the fifth pillar of Islamic faith – the Hajj.
The send-off, as every year, was filled with emotions, spiritual enthusiasm, and pride. From the village center all the way to the bus station, the streets of Labunishta echoed with tekbirs, glorifying the name of Almighty Allah (may He be exalted). The joy and congratulations were accompanied by tears, prayers, and wishes for a safe journey and accepted worship.
This noble tradition has been practiced since 1963, when the villagers first gathered to send off then Imam and respected believer, the late Haji Arslan Qazimoski, on pilgrimage. Since then, every year, with the same love and respect, Labunishta stands behind its believers preparing to undertake the greatest spiritual endeavor.
We pray to the Exalted Allah to ease the path of the pilgrims, accept their worship, and that they return home healthy, alive, and with fulfilled hearts.
