The basic project for the expansion of Mehmed Ali Pasha Mosque (also known as the Upper Mosque) in Labunishta has been presented. The new design offers an impressive combination of traditional Islamic architectural elements and a modern appearance.

The project envisions several golden domes, highlighting the large central dome surrounded by several smaller ones. The architecture emphasizes the beauty of geometric shapes, while the white facade with stone and decorative elements brings a sense of spiritual purity and elegance.

Two tall minarets are planned to dominate the mosque's silhouette and make it recognizable from afar. The area around the mosque will be paved with unique circular patterns, creating harmony between the religious and public spaces.

The new expansion will be a separate structure within the existing mosque, and the process will be overseen by an initiative board to be selected on Sunday, August 10, 2025, after the Isha prayer, right at this location.

With this project, Labunishta gains not only a spiritual but also a cultural gem that will enrich the place for generations to come.
