LABUNIŠTA – In an atmosphere filled with sporting spirit and before more than 700 spectators, the final of the traditional memorial small football tournament was played tonight, bringing much emotion, dynamic play, and an unexpected ending.

The final match featured the teams of Binaj from Labuništa and Lavado Kafe from Struga, both of which demonstrated top quality and competitiveness throughout the tournament.

Lavado Kafe took the lead first with a goal from a free kick, but Binaj’s team did not allow the score to remain unchanged. Near the end of the first half, following an excellent team play, they equalized at 1:1.

The second half was fully dominated by Binaj’s team, who created a series of chances with dominant play and constantly pressured the opponent's goal. The key moment occurred in the final minutes when a Lavado Kafe player handled the ball inside his penalty area. The main referee awarded a penalty to Binaj, which triggered strong reactions from the Lavado Kafe players.

Instead of continuing the game, Lavado Kafe’s team left the field in protest, and after several unsuccessful attempts by the referee to continue the match, a decision was made for an official win for Binaj.

With this, Binaj secured the title of this year’s memorial tournament, leaving a strong impression with their fighting spirit, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Before the final match, a third-place game was also played between the team of Beni Erol from Struga and the team BerberShop Muhammed from Labuništa, with BerberShop Muhammed securing the victory and taking third place.

The tournament once again confirmed its importance as a significant sporting and social event in the region, attracting great attention and support from the local community.
