In Labunista, an intriguing legend has been passed down for generations about a mysterious cave where, according to folk tales, a vast treasure was hidden.

The legend says that in the distant past, two Roman armies clashed in this area. During turbulent times, one of the armies, in order not to carry the collected golden loot with them, decided to hide it deep inside one of the mountain caves.

What makes this story even more mysterious is the belief that the entrance to the cave would only be revealed once a year, on a specific day, when sunlight would penetrate at a special angle through an opening and illuminate the hidden entrance.

For decades, perhaps even centuries, this legend has been passed from generation to generation. The elders told the younger ones, and the story of the hidden gold still sparks curiosity in many today.

Does such a cave truly exist? Has anyone ever found the treasure? Or is this just one of the many mysteries that our mountain guards?

But perhaps the true gold of Labunista was never hidden in a cave.
