From Monday, enrolment for training at the children's football club FC Labuništa begins, and this is much more than just the ordinary opening of another sports club. This is an investment in our children, in their childhood, health, discipline, and future.

Labuništa has had its own football club several times throughout history. Football has always been part of the village's sporting spirit, and the last senior club managed to reach a very high level, even approaching participation in the First League. That was a period when football united the village once again and when many residents proudly followed the matches.

However, the reality is that maintaining a senior football club requires huge financial resources. Fields, equipment, transport, referees, registration, salaries, and many other costs are needed. Without serious sponsors and long-term financial support, this is too big a burden for individuals or a small group of people.

That is why perhaps the most important step at this moment is to start with the youngest.

With the children's FC Labuništa, our children are given the opportunity to train regularly, to be active, to socialize, and to learn what discipline, teamwork, respect, and responsibility mean.

Instead of spending free time aimlessly, in front of phones, computers, or on the street, they will have a place where they can properly spend their energy and create beautiful memories from childhood.

Not every child who begins to train must become a professional footballer. That is not the only goal at all.

But if among them there are children with special talent, desire, and greater interest in football, then such a club can be their first step. Later, they can continue in bigger clubs in Struga, Ohrid, Skopje, or even further.

We never know where the next great talent hides if we do not give children the opportunity to show it at all.

It is especially gratifying that in Labuništa there are already activities like football and karate. But it would be wonderful if this is only the beginning.

In a large place like Labuništa, as many activities as possible are needed for children and youth. In the future, we would like to see a chess club, drawing and art school, cooking courses, music school, drama section, photography, programming and robotics, hiking club, basketball, volleyball, swimming, traditional crafts, language courses, and other educational and creative activities.

Not every child is interested in football. Some may be an excellent chess player, artist, programmer, musician, cook, or athlete in another discipline.

Our task as a community is to create as many doors as possible through which children can enter and discover what they like and what they are good at.

In the end, the biggest role is played by the parents.

Investing in a child does not just mean providing clothes, phone, or material things. The real investment is to provide opportunities — sport, education, culture, socializing, new skills, and healthy habits.

The time and resources spent on the development of a child are never wasted.

Childhood passes very quickly, and what they learn and experience during those years shapes them as individuals for life.

Therefore, the opening of the children's FC Labuništa should be seen as a small but very significant step towards a bigger goal — for Labuništa to be a place where every child has the opportunity to play sports, learn, create, develop their talent, and grow up healthy.
