The Municipality of Struga and the Municipality of Vevčani have recently taken significant steps towards improving communal services and enhancing the environment.

The Municipality of Struga received a new modern street cleaning machine that operates on electric energy and is part of the "Air Pollution Management – Phase 2" project. With this investment, Struga gains a more efficient and eco-friendly solution for maintaining urban hygiene, while simultaneously reducing air pollution and noise in the city. The new eco-truck will enable regular and high-quality cleaning of city streets in accordance with the municipal Air Quality Management Plan.

At the same time, the Municipality of Vevčani implemented another important project in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning. The municipality received 850 new communal waste bins, which will be distributed to every household. This step represents a crucial part of the strategy for orderly waste management and raising hygiene standards in the village. By providing individual bins, illegal dumping is reduced and the overall communal system is improved.

Both Struga and Vevčani show that with proper planning, modern equipment, and support from the competent institutions, local communities can significantly enhance the quality of life for citizens. These projects serve as a positive example of efficient resource use and laying the foundation for a cleaner, more orderly, and more sustainable environment.
