What Did Struga Look Like Before?

In recent days, old photos of Struga have been widely shared on the internet, which have been transformed from black and white to color photos using modern technology and artificial intelligence.

The images show what old Struga looked like in the past — cobblestone streets, the bazaar, old houses with verandas, people in traditional clothing, and life by the Black Drim River.

Many say that through these photos, for the first time, they can "feel live" the atmosphere of old Struga and the time written about by travelers like Evliya Çelebi.

Although the colors are digitally added, the photos evoke special emotions and nostalgia in people, reminding us how rich in history and spirit our region is.
