Muhammad Husrev (Aydinlar) is a person whose life represents an example of dedication, humility, and perseverance, even in the toughest circumstances. His work is not only a reflection of his extensive education but also of his deep commitment to education, religion, and spiritual life. Unfortunately, his biography is often reduced to discussions about his ethnic origin instead of appreciating his achievements.
Husrev Hodja showed a love for learning from a young age, continuing his education from the village of Labunishta to prestigious madrasas in Ohrid, Tirana, and Istanbul. His education prepared him for many years of work as a teacher and lecturer. Even after madrasas were abolished in Turkey, he voluntarily continued to pass on his knowledge to students, not only in mosques but also in his own home, leaving a significant mark on many generations. For him, teaching was an act of worship, and his persistence in religious education, especially during periods of intense pressure, is inspiring.
His biography shows that Muhammad Husrev's life was filled with great challenges. From leaving Turkey due to pressures, to returning and continuing lectures, he demonstrated great courage and determination. Particularly striking is his dedication during the intense restrictions on religious life from 1940 to 1950. Even when his health deteriorated, he continued his mission, tirelessly teaching and inspiring his students.
One of the most significant works he left behind is his book "Risalet'ul-Mevahibi'il-Ilahije," which testifies to his deep knowledge of Islamic sciences and the Arabic language. This work was written under extremely difficult circumstances, when his wife passed away, his house and library were burned, and Istanbul faced military threats. Despite these tragedies, he managed to create this important work, reflecting his skill and dedication to religious knowledge.
What further distinguishes Muhammad Husrev is his humility. Although he was a prominent teacher and thinker, he lived simply, earning a living by selling vegetables from his garden. Even for his funeral, the funds were provided by a member of his community, which indicates his deep connection with people and his selflessness.
Muhammad Husrev's life is an example of how one person can make a huge contribution to the community through education, humility, and perseverance. Instead of focusing on his ethnic origin, we should value his work and legacy. He is an example of a man who used his life mission to inspire, teach, and serve others, leaving a mark that transcends time and space.
